Fredensborgs Herrgard - Vimmerby

I had an amazing Xmas getaway in the countryside. the scenery was breathtaking, with lots of trees and a stunning lake. the breakfast buffet had a wide range of delicious options, my favorite being the homemade pastries and freshly squeezed juice. the staff were friendly and accommodating, offering activities such as ice skating and skiing. Being only a short drive away from a charming town made it even better.

The rooms were quite cramped and outdated, making it a little uncomfortable to relax in. the heating system seemed broken, making the room extremely stuffy.

The hotel boasts various amenities for families such as billiards, darts, and mini-golf. It also showcases a beautiful view of a lake where you can take a dip in and even take their free rowing boats. The breakfast buffet was diverse and definitely hit the spot.

Some of the facilities could use some improvements such as fresher bathrooms and replacing the carpets in the corridors. The reception staff could also give more information about the hotel.

The swimming was great and we enjoyed borrowing small boats with no extra cost. the hotel was very accessible and had a playground which was perfect for our kids. The restaurant staff was very nice and the early breakfast was peaceful and fresh. The check-in and check-out process was very fast.

Nothing not to love.

The hotel is situated in a beautiful area adjacent to a golf course and near a lake with a stunning view in front of the garden. the rooms were tidy and cozy while the breakfast was excellent. the hotel also offers a great grass and sand beach which is perfect for little ones, as well as a sauna and a wonderful restaurant with very nice staff.

The facilities were a bit outdated and need some improvement.

Great swimming. Small boats available. Kid-friendly and accessible. Lively atmosphere. Nice restaurant staff. Early breakfast. Peaceful and fresh. Fast check in/out.
